[Directions] KONA BEANS Cafe at Apgujeong

Yes, you’re right. I had captured a few photos to make this guide entry to Kona Bean Cafe which was managed by the omma(s) of the boys.(Leetuek, Sungmin, Kyuhyun)

PS: ELFs, this is the updated version(Apr’2012) of the guide done by me. It’s roughly about 10mins walk from the station and it’s easy to find the cafe if you follow the photos below. (^^)

KONA BEANS  –
Address : Seoul, Sinsa-dong, Gangnam-gu 1st floor
Phone : 02 543 0070 Open from : 7am – 11pm

Directions: Take Exit 2, from Apgujeong station. – Make a U-turn on your left and follow the path straight all the way till you see a Hyundai Oil Station. (Take Note! It’s NO LONGER S-oil Station)

– Continue to walk straight until you see “Black Smith” cafe at a small alley junction(which is on your right). Turn right and walk into the alley.

Yes, you will see Jindo building and walk up about 100m and you’ll see Kona Bean Cafe. =D

*TATA*

You’ll be welcome by the handsome boys upon arrival with their huge photo portrait.

Hope you fans have some luck in bumping the ommas, or have a peep at the handsome cashier/barista boy(Sungjin) or maybe even the boys themselves~ ^^

______________________________________________________________

My take. Basically, it’s a cafe platform where the parents of the boys would have a chance to communicate with fans(when they’re free). Just my luck, Kyuhyun’s omma was in the cafe and I managed to get a quick snap before she left. (=

Beautiful mummy.

Besides, there are many photo portraits hanging and big boards done by fans being placed in the cafe as well.

Kyuhyun

Leeteuk

SungMin *heeheehee*

Guess who’s signature is this.. (PS: someone from SISTAR)

Cute mini-flower pot given by Fanclubs for the opening of KONA BEAN. ❤

Well, took a short break with unnie(s) over there and I ordered a cup of hot vanilla latte to chill alittle as it was cold outside. =/

Well, almost all the cafe in korea has this device to alert you while waiting for your drinks/food to be ready. =D

Price range: It’s basically the same as other cafe. About 4kwon and above.

Ambience: It’s actually a little cozy inside. I do recommend for a cup of coffee with a friend or two. =D

Dropping Gifts for the boys: Well, I have no idea how long does it takes to reach the boys! But hey, you can try your luck and  drop it there though. (= A pink package full of love for SungMin, together with presents for Omma(s) & Sungjin. ^^

Till then!

PS: Please respect the privacy of the staffs and Omma(s) when they are working at the counter.
No Photography of the menu/Ommas/staff when they are working.

BUT..You are allow to take photos when IF the boys are working at the counter. (:

yyann

      Hi pretty,

apparently we are allowed to snap photos in the cafe. But do take note that it might not be possible the same for other boutique cafes/restaurants though. (=

      Hi,
      Thanks for reading it! ^^
Wow! Do keep yourself warm during the winter as it could get really cold with those strong wind.
As for the the days to recommend, I’m actually not very sure either. The cafe is usually packed with fans all round the world, or some certain fans might even sit up the entire day to try their luck though.

The Omma(s) are usually there. (Not all, 1 of them as they take turns I believed)
I went on a sat and it was pretty crowded. Maybe you can try on the weekdays, around late afternoon or night after dinner to avoid the crowds. Have fun! ^^

Thanks for this valuable information. I plan to visit there someday for a short tour with my kids and hope to stop by this coffee shop and see the beautiful places around. Is there any Christian church nearby for a Sunday english service? We plan to visit Kona Bean after attending Sunday service and hope the place is open on a Sunday as well. Thanks and best regards.

        Hi Madeline,

I can’t really advice you what would be the best time/less crowded timing as it varies. But maybe you can try early in the morning or 1-2hours before it closes? yeah..
At the same time, you’re free to take photos in the cafe EXCEPT at the menu bar and working/cashier area. They are quite particular about it and do respect the staffs and the T&C there. (:
        *cheers!

        Regards,

Hmm it appears like your site ate my first comment (it was super long) so I guess I’ll just sum it up what I wrote and say, I’m thoroughly
enjoying your blog. I too am an aspiring blog writer but I’m still new to everything. Do you have any points for first-time blog writers? I’d really appreciate it.
